On Sunday, February 21st, at the 9:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Redeemer, the Cathedral Parish will publicly send those preparing to enter the Church here at Easter to the Rite of Election, which the Bishop will celebrate in Waunakee later that day. This will include adults preparing for Baptism as well as adults who have been baptized in another Christian denomination and are preparing for full reception into the Catholic Church. (While there are also Catholics preparing for Confirmation in the RCIA process, this ceremony is specifically for people who are becoming Catholic at the Easter Vigil.) We will be praying for all our candidates at each of the Masses for the First Sunday of Lent, but all are especially invited to come to be with them for this Rite of Sending at the 9:00 Mass, and to stay to enjoy with the candidates the Parish Brunch that will follow that Mass on the 21st.
