Arise, Seek and Encounter the Truth!
Cathedral 20s&30s is a group for young people, married and single, living in and around Madison, who seek to connect with each other as they grow closer to Jesus Christ and His Church.
The Cathedral Parish, along with the Universal Church, recognizes the importance for young people to find a community where they can together grow in faith. At the 2011 World Youth Day, Pope Benedict said, “Youth is a privileged time for seeking and encountering the truth,” which is Christ. The Cathedral Parish has a vibrant young adult community made up of young people in their 20s and 30s, married and single, living in Madison and the surrounding areas. We have various offerings to help young adults encounter Truth in the Person of Jesus Christ, such as:
Theology on Tap
A monthly speaker series at a local bar featuring speakers addressing the intersection of faith and contemporary issues young adults face today.
Every second Friday of the month the Diocese of Madison hosts 'Venite Adoremus', which is an opportunity to pray in Eucharistic Adoration, go to Reconciliation, and hear a meditation on how to grow as a 'missionary disciple' - the phrase Pope Francis has been using to describe the essence of what a Christian is supposed to be! This is a great way to meet friends and deepen your faith!
A monthly brunch served by and for young adults after a Sunday Mass to share food and fellowship.
Social Events & Activities
Throughout the year, many one-time events are coordinated by and for young adults. These include social events as well as attending parish-wide and diocesan events. Examples are sports league, baseball games, movie nights, special parish or diocesan liturgies, and diocesan lectures.
