Theology on Tap - "God Doesn't Need Me, Does He?: Our Vital Role in God's Saving Plan for the World"

Thursday, July 25th:

God desires to draw all people to himself in heaven.  To make this happen, God wants you to help: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Mt 28:19-20).  But why would all-powerful God look for assistance from his own creatures, mere mortals?  To unravel this mystery of God's saving plan, we'll look at everything from the structure of the Church to the individual's relationship with God and ultimately delve into the nature of God himself.
